My journey began as an entrepreneur, but the influence of my father, with his deep concern for social issues and rational thought, drew me into the world of community development. I joined an NGO dedicated to various community projects, where I embraced multiple roles, including Project Manager for community project, Team Leader for World Bank-aided projects, Director of Operations, and ultimately, CFO of a Farmers Producer Company. During this period, my quest for social transformation led me to identify fundamental problems within the education system as root causes of broader social issues.

This realization sparked my exploration and study of various alternative education systems. I connected with numerous homeschooling parents and communities, and subsequently joined an alternative school, where I took on the role of designing their educational system. This experience underscored the critical role of an educationist in social engineering, prompting me to delve deeper into educational initiatives.

One of my significant achievements is co-founding LORE, an NGO committed to enhancing the quality of learning in public schools. Through LORE, I have been instrumental in designing innovative educational tools. Notably, I developed the mathematical toolset "Ullasa Ganitham," which has been adopted by the state government of Kerala and integrated into the state curriculum. Since 2019-20, this play-based math learning tool has been successfully implemented in all public schools across Kerala, profoundly impacting the education system.

Currently, my focus is entirely on transforming Uyir into a research organization dedicated to designing and developing diverse learning processes and tools. Our goal is to ensure that every child, without exception, can experience the beauty of learning. My work now is deeply rooted in understanding and harnessing the power of education for social engineering, and I am committed to making a lasting impact through innovative educational solutions.

I am a practicing Psychologist working with children and adults,  also a management professor. Above all I am interested in being part of children's growth, and in learning from them. That's what brought me to Uyir

I have more than 7 years of experience working in IT MNCs - Wipro, Cognizant Technology Solutions and UST - as a software professional performing various roles as a software developer, system analyst, business analyst, trainer and so on. I always had an urge to share and acquire knowledge, which made me take opportunities to work as a trainer as well in the organizations I worked for.

After becoming parents, we wanted to provide our child with that kind of education in such a way that learning is fun while his inherent curiosity and enthusiasm should be respected and valued. We thought about homeschooling and came across Uyir, where I could also be part of the learning activities.

Now I am a mentor, and co-learner as well as the parent of a child who is acquiring knowledge by being part of Uyir. Being a mentor and a co-learner at Uyir, I respect and value each child's potential and help them to utilize their potential and improve themselves.

About myself...though my academics focused mainly on engineering field, I just started my career as an engineer but later on I realized apart from doing the assigned work and earning...I must do something which brings out my potential.

So I choose to focus on teaching job where I find myself as a teacher as well as a co learner. Thats why I am on UYIR to explore new learning methods to  help children and make them enjoy art of learning.For me,UYIR is not only a learning space,but a good example of how well an education system should run on today's world.

With over 7 years of experience in Medical Transcription, Editing, and Quality Analysis, I recently discovered a new passion while working with children. This revelation led me to pursue a career in education, where I find immense joy and fulfillment.

Educational institutions provide a dynamic environment where individuals of all ages can thrive and learn. For me, working with kids is not only fun but also an incredible learning experience. Their curiosity and enthusiasm inspire me daily, pushing me to become a better person.
