Gas pressure is the name given to the force exerted by gas particles colliding with the wall of their container. Pressure is force exerted over an area. Gas pressure is the force exerted by a gas on a specific area.
Gas particals move all the time .
when gas bump into the side of a their container they cause gas pressure
You have a deflated balloon.
When you blow air into the balloon, you’re adding gas particles inside.
As you blow more air, the volume of the balloon increases, but the pressure inside the balloon also rises because there are more gas particles colliding with the inner walls of the balloon.
Final State: When the balloon is fully inflated, the pressure inside is higher than the outside air pressure, which keeps the balloon inflated.
How does the number of gas molecules in a container influence the pressure?
What is the relationship between gas pressure and the kinetic energy of gas particles?
What is the effect of adding more gas to a rigid container on the pressure inside?
What happens to gas pressure when the volume of the container is decreased?
