Everything you can see and feel is called matter
Bricks , air and water are all example of matter
Scientists sort matter into three groups.
solids, liquids and gases
Solids
solids keep the same shape
They take up the same amount of space.
They keep the same volume.
They cannot be squashed or poured.
Liquids
Liquids take up the shape of the container they are in.
Liquids can be poured and can move through gaps.
