• solids, liquids and gases

Solids

• solids keep the same shape

• They take up the same amount of space.

• They keep the same volume.

• They cannot be squashed or poured.

Liquids

• Liquids take up the shape of the container they are in.

• Liquids can be poured and can move through gaps.

• They cannot be squashed

Gases

• gases move to fill any closed container they are in .

• gases flow like liquids .

• They are very easy to squash.
