Their are 4 type of human organ systems : The digestive system , The circulatory system , The nervous system and The respiratory system
The digestive system
Mouth: Chews food and mixes it with saliva to start breaking down carbohydrates.
Esophagus: A tube that pushes food from the mouth to the stomach.
Stomach: Mixes food with stomach acids and enzymes to break down proteins.
Small Intestine: Digests food further and absorbs nutrients into the bloodstream.
Pancreas: Produces enzymes that help digest fats, proteins, and carbohydrates.
Liver: Produces bile to help digest fats and processes nutrients.
Gallbladder: Stores bile from the liver and releases it into the small intestine.
Large Intestine: Absorbs water and forms solid waste.
Rectum: Stores solid waste before it is expelled.
Anus: The opening where solid waste is expelled from the body.
The circulatory system
Heart: The central pump that circulates blood throughout the body.
Arteries: Vessels that carry oxygen-rich blood away from the heart.
Veins: Vessels that carry oxygen-poor blood back to the heart.
Capillaries: Tiny vessels where oxygen and nutrients are exchanged with tissues.
Blood: Composed of red and white blood cells, platelets, and plasma, it transports oxygen, nutrients, and waste products.
The nervous system
Brain: The control center of the body, responsible for processing sensory information, regulating bodily functions, and enabling thought, emotion, and memory.
Spinal Cord: A bundle of nerves that runs down the spine, transmitting signals between the brain and the rest of the body, and coordinating reflexes.
Neurons: Specialized cells within the brain and spinal cord that transmit electrical and chemical signals, facilitating communication and function within the CNS.
The respiratory system
Lungs: Organs that facilitate gas exchange, bringing oxygen into the body and expelling carbon dioxide.
Nose: The entry point for air, where it is filtered, warmed, and humidified.
Trachea: The windpipe that transports air from the nose to the lungs.
