Scientists have found how some cells can actually replicate after the death of the organism, and they are suggesting that there is a stage after death for these specific cells. After the death of a frog, they found that the skin cells of the frog rearranged into xenobots, which can do things the skin cells can't or were not supposed to do, like moving around and tracking where it's going using a small hair-like structure.
