What is deforestation:

Deforestation refers to the decrease in forest areas across the world that are lost for other uses such as agricultural croplands, urbanization, or mining activities.

The causes of deforestation:

Agricultural expansion.
Logging.
Urbanization.
Infrastructure development.
Mining.
Wildfires.

The impacts of deforestation:

Climate change.
Desertification.
Soil erosion.
Increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Fewer crops.

Deforestation has significant economic impacts globally. It leads to water pollution, soil erosion, and loss of essential nutrients for vegetation growth.
Agriculture is one of the leading causes of deforestation globally.
As more and more trees get cut down, evaporation levels are disrupted, drying up the moisture in the air and throwing off the balance of the water cycle.
