The Earth spins like a top: Earth rotates on an imaginary line called its "axis," vhich runs from the North Pole to the South Pole.
It takes 24 hours to spin once: Earth makes one full rotation every 24 hours, which is why we have day and night.
Day and night: When one side of Earth faces the Sun, it's daytime, and when it faces away, it's nighttime.
Earth's tilt: Earth's axis is tilted at an angle, which is why we have seasons.
Earth rotates eastward: The Earth spins from west to east, which is why the Sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
Rotation speeds vary: At the equator, the Earth spins faster, about 1,670 kilometers per hour (1,040 miles per hour).
You can't feel it: Even though the Earth is spinning so fast, we don't feel it because we are moving with it.
