Stars are huge balls of gas that give off light and heat. Our Sun is a star!
Stars are really far away. Even the closest star, Proxima Centauri, is 4.24 light years away from Earth!
Stars are born in clouds of gas called nebulae. Over time, they get hot and start shining.
The color of a star tells us how hot it is. Blue stars are the hottest, and red stars are cooler.
Constellations are patterns of stars that people see and name in the sky, like the Big Dipper.
Some stars are super bright, like Sirius, which is the brightest star in our night sky (besides the Sun).
Black holes are formed when big stars collapse. They have so much gravity that nothing can escape them-not even light!
Stars can live a long time, but eventually, they die. Some stars explode as supernovae, creating new stars and planets!
Telescope helps us see stars up close, even the ones millions of miles away from Earth!
Astronauts have visited space to study stars and planets, and they help us learn more about the universe!
